1.
The Cycle of Life
Diane Clark
4/16/16
I stand awed by new life.
After lying dormant, as if dead,
these many months everything submitting
to an ordained cycle
set in place before time came to be.
The Creator and the creation
moving in perfect in harmony with one another,
without the assistance of you nor I;
Spring bringing with it,
life in abundance. Speaking
to our wearied souls of
continued life after death,
As we embrace the promise
of eternal life.
Though man attempts to
alter the harmony, bringing discord,
when all is said and done,
creation and its Creator will
once again move in perfect harmony,
And so the cycle continues.

A Quiet Place
There is a place
A quiet place,
that's meant for me alone,
where I come into His presence
right before His very throne.
It's just as if there was no one else
in this whole universe but me,
as I kneel right down beside Him
and lay my head upon His knees.
There are no words between us
in the quiet of this hour.
Just He and I and stillness
yet, I sense His awesome power.
I feel the calmness of His presence,
His gentle hand that touches me.
And oh, the love that flows
from His heart while on my knees.
I can't explain to anyone
how He's renewed my heart and soul.
All I know is that I love Him,
and His love has made me whole.
I've been in His holy presence,
my heart is purged and clean.
The radiance of my countenance
will attest to who I've seen.
So, as my journey takes me
through the roughest roads of life,
I know He's always there for me
and gives me peace amid the strife.
As again and again He draws me
unto Himself alone,
I'll rest my head upon His knees
right there close beside His throne.

Song of a Soul Surrendered
Hear the song of a soul surrendered
silent now before Him lie . . .
arms outstretched
still and yielded
'neath the ever darkening sky.
Emptied now of all that claims me
succumbing to my weakness, I
let out a cry from deep within me,
"Restore me now and give me life."
I have wandered far
from your presence Lord
Your light I cannot see,
nor feel the precious touch
of your gentle hand on me.
I cannot live without you,
nor continue in my grief,
unless you breathe into my soul
and restore your life in me.
I'll not leave unless you bless me.
It's for this purpose that I came.
So, in the stillness of this night I'll wait
'til I hear you whispering my name.
